A 41-year-old man underwent endovenous laser ablation for varicose veins. He developed a high-output arteriovenous fistula between the ipsilateral common femoral artery and vein, presumably as a result of perforation with the laser or guidewire. The fistula was repaired surgically with a bovine pericardial patch.
