Prolapse of the gallbladder following penetrating abdominal injury is very rare. This 35-year-old man presented with abdominal stab injury. Physical examination showed a prolapsed gallbladder through the stab wound in the right hypochondrial region. Surgical exploration revealed prolapse of only the fundus of gallbladder with congestion. The gallbladder was not injured, so it was simply reduced and the abdominal incision closed after excluding injury to other abdominal viscera.
