A 42-year-old woman presented with haematemesis for one day. She had normal appetite and her body mass index was in normal range. An ultrasound scan revealed gastro duodenal intussusception. At operation there was a well-defined non-ulcerated tumour in the antral region of the stomach. Partial gastrectomy offered a cure. Gastroduodenal intussusception is a rare and potentially fatal complication of gastric leiomyoma; ulceration of the lesion is a more common cause of gastrointestinal bleeding. Histology revealed that the lesion is a benign gastric stromal tumour.
