Distal oesophagogastric fistula. The patient had a 2-year history of epigastric pain and underwent oesophagogastroduodenoscopy by a junior resident with endoscopic findings of repeated gastritis. The present oesophagogastroduodenoscopy, repeated 6 months later, revealed a double oesophageal lumen divided by a septum 32 cm from the teeth. Both lumens led separately into the stomach. The cause of the fistula was probably trauma from the previous endoscopy.
