This woman has panniculitis, a relatively uncommon condition that presents with skin nodules, secondary to inflammation of the subcutaneous adipose tissue. In this case, the patient presented with bilateral breast lumps, similar subcutaneous lumps elsewhere in the body, and weight loss. Treatment is usually symptomatic with anti-inflammatory drugs and steroids. The condition sometimes resolves on its own.
