The patient had an invaginated Meckel’s diverticulum causing small bowel obstruction. This was treated by small bowel resection with primary anastomosis. Invagination is a rare complication of this otherwise common congenital anomaly. The pathology report described typical features of Meckel’s diverticulum, with ectopic gastric and pancreatic tissue and areas of ulceration.
