A prospective randomized study comparing laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) versus Lichtenstein repair for bilateral inguinal hernias. Surgery 2018; 216: 78-83.

Conclusion

In this study that included 134 patients, TAPP reduced postoperative pain up to seven days (P=0.003), shortened hospital stay (P=0.001) and caused less chronic pain (P=0.04).
