Conclusion

This analysis included 42 RCTs (6 867 procedures) for femoropopliteal arterial occlusive disease. Successful one year revascularisation rates were not significantly different; nor was one year mortality. Drug-coated devices had fewer short term complications: odds ratio 0.14, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.05 to 0.45.
