Conclusion

Compared to low-frequency follow-up, high-frequency follow-up did not improve outcomes in this trial that included 2509 patients. The 5-year cancer-specific mortality rate risk difference was 0.8 per cent, 95 per cent confidence interval -1.7 to 3.3 per cent; P=0.5.
