Conclusion

Median follow-up was 97 months in this study that included 474 women. Axillary recurrence occurred in 2 per cent after axillary dissection and 1.7 per cent after axillary radiotherapy (P=1.00). Disease-free survival (72.1 vs 77.4 per cent, respectively) and overall survival rates (77.9 vs 84.8 per cent) were also similar.
