Conclusion

In this study that included 77 patients, endoscopic injection of gastric varices with cyanoacrylate reduced the rate of rebleeding (15 vs. 55 per cent, P=0.004), and the mortality rate during median follow-up of 26 months (3 vs. 25 per cent, P=0.026).
