Conclusion

There were no complications from IMA embolisation in the 113 patients included. The risk of type II endoleak was significantly reduced in the embolisation group (24.5 versus 49.1 per cent, P=0.009), as was the risk of sac growth related to endoleak (3.8 versus 17 per cent, P=0.03).
