Conclusion

Some 508 patients with moderately severe Crohn’s Disease were allocated to one of three regimens for 30 weeks. The primary endpoint was steroid-free remission. Best results were seen with combination therapy both after 26 and 50 weeks. Infliximab alone was better than azathioprine alone. Complication rates were similar.
