Conclusion

Adjuvant chemotherapy improved relapse-free survival (hazard ratio 0.83, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.69 to 0.99, P=0.04), but not overall survival (0.88, 0.77 to 1.01, P=0.07) in this study that evaluated 1192 treated patients.
