Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials on safety and efficacy of exercise training in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm. J Vasc Surg 2019; 69: 933–943

Conclusion

Seven trials including 489 participants with an aneurysm <5.5cm in diameter were studied. Exercise training was safe (only two cardiac events recorded). It improved peak oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold (both P<0.01), without affecting aneurysm diameter.
