Conclusion

One hundred elective procedures were studied. Virtual reality rehearsal reduced the rate of minor errors by 26 per cent (P=0.004) and major errors by 76 per cent (P=0.009). Errors causing procedural delay were reduced by 27 per cent (P=0.007).
