Conclusion

A single intramuscular dose of depomedroxyprogesterone reduced hot flushes by more than 50 per cent over the next six weeks in 81/109 (74 per cent) of women, compared to 50/109 (46 per cent) of women who had venlafaxine, P<0.001.
