Conclusion

Thirty day mortality was reduced from 33 to 23.2 per cent (95 per cent confidence interval of the difference -18.1 to -1%, P=0.03) in his study that included 501 patients. Plasma reduced median prothrombin time-ratio from 1.3 to 1.2, P<0.001.
