Conclusion

Some 951 patients were included. At five year follow-up, patients treated with ipilimumab had improved recurrence-free (40.8 versus 30.3 per cent, P<0.001) and overall survival (65.4 versus 54.4 per cent, P=0.001). But 42 per cent of patients on ipilimumab had immune-related adverse events, five of which were fatal.
