Conclusion

In this study that included 102 vascular procedures, vacuum dressing did not reduce the rate of surgical site infection (11% versus 19% in the standard dressing group, P=0.24). It did reduce duration of postoperative stay: 6.4 versus 8.9 days, P=0.01.
