Conclusion

Operators were more likely to make a confident diagnosis about whether small polyps were benign or malignant using near focus viewing compared to standard viewing (odds ratio 2.2, 95 per cent confidence interval 1.6 to 3.0, P<0.0001) in this study of 558 high-definition colonoscopies.
