Conclusion

Some 425 patients completed sufficient quality of life scores up to two months postoperatively for analysis. Patients who had laparoscopic surgery had improved quality of life as measured by the Symptoms Distress Scale (P<0.01), Quality of Life Index (P<0.01) and Global Quality of Life scores (P<0.01).
