Conclusion

Eight RCTs including 649 procedures were analyzed. At 4h (P=0.004) and 6h (P=0.03) after surgery, local anaesthetic blockade reduced resting pain scores. Opioid consumption was also reduced (P=0.01) for the first 24h. Duration of hospital stay was not affected
