Conclusion

In this study that included 253 procedures, mean excess BMI weight loss was similar after the one anastomosis method (-87.9 per cent) compared to standard Roux-en-Y (-85.8 per cent). There were higher rates of diarrhoea, steatorrhoea and nutritional complications after the new procedure.
