Conclusion

Wearing an activity monitor in addition to undergoing a supervised exercise programme improved maximum walking distance by 80-112m (P<0.001) sustained for up to 12 months, and improved quality of life (P=0.004) in this study that included 37 patients with intermittent claudication.
