Conclusion

This study included 3066 women randomized into one of three groups: tamoxifen alone, tamoxifen plus ovarian suppression and exemestane plus ovarian suppression. At five years, disease-free survival was similar: 84.7, 86.6 and 85.7 per cent, respectively. Most recurrences occurred in women who had received chemotherapy.
