Conclusion

In an analysis that included almost 32 thousand postmenopausal women, aromatase inhibitors reduced recurrence rates by about 30 per cent compared with tamoxifen. Five years of aromatase inhibitor reduced ten year breast cancer mortality by 40 per cent compared to placebo.
