Conclusion
There were five RCTs that included 2263 patients, with median follow-up eight years. Trastuzumab reduced the risk of recurrence (17.3 versus 24.3 per cent; P<0.001) and improved overall mortality (7.8 versus 11.6 per cent; P=0.005).
