Conclusion

A total of 396 patients who had resection of an early gastric cancer or high grade adenoma were evaluable. At median follow-up of 5.9 years, a second gastric cancer occurred in 7.2 per cent of antibiotic treated patients versus 13.4 per cent of controls; P=0.03.
