Conclusion

There were nine trials consisting of 1454 procedures. There was no difference in morbidity or hernia recurrence, but use of bioglue significantly decreased the risk of chronic groin pain: odds ratio 0.46, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.22 to 0.93.
