Conclusion

There were no major differences in symptoms between the groups in the 20 000 women studied. Women on tamoxifen had more gynaecological symptoms, leg cramps, vasomotor symptoms and bladder problems. Those on raloxifene had more musculoskeletal problems, dyspareunia and weight gain.
