Conclusion

The eleven studies analyzed included 1031 patients. Neurectomy reduced pain in both short- (relative risk 0.61, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.4 to 0.93) and mid-terms (0.3, 0.2 to 0.46), but not the long-term. (0.5, 0.25 to 1.01).
