Six cycles of doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide or paclitaxel are not superior to four cycles as adjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer in women with zero to three positive axillary nodes: Cancer and Leukemia Group B40101. J Clin Oncol 2012; 30: 4071–4076.

Conclusion

There was no evidence that extending the duration of chemotherapy was beneficial in this study that included 3171 patients. After median follow-up of 5.3 years, relapse-free survival rates were 91 per cent and 92 per cent after six and four cycles, respectively.
