Conclusion

The rate of postoperative pancreatic fistula was similar after Roux-en-Y (17/107, 15.7 per cent) and loop reconstructions (19/109, 17.6 per cent) in this multicentre study. Patients who developed postoperative fistula recovered quicker after the Roux-en-Y procedure.
