Conclusion

The study included 101 patients undergoing pancreatic head surgery. The Billroth procedure was associated with less delayed gastric emptying (5.7 versus 20.4 per cent, P=0.028) and shorter hospital stay (31.6 versus 41.4 days, P=0.037).
