Conclusion
Early postoperative mortality was significantly better after EVAR (1.8 per cent vs. 4.3 per cent after open repair. After median follow-up of six years, all cause mortality rates were similar in both groups: adjusted hazard ratio 0.92, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.57 to 1.49, P=0.73).
