Conclusion

In this study that included 190 procedures, flomoxef sodium every 12h for 3 days did not affect the rate of overall infection (21.3 versus 25.5 per cent, P=0.606) or the rate of surgical site infection (10.6 versus 13.8 per cent, P=0.657).
