Conclusion

Death or haemodynamic decompensation were reduced in the tenecteplase (lysis) group: 2.6 versus 5.6 per cent, P=0.02. Bleeding (6.3 versus 1.2 per cent; P<0.001) and stroke (2.4 versus 0.2 per cent; P=0.003) were higher in the lysis group.
