Conclusion

Initial perioperative mortality was lower after endovascular repair (0.5 vs. 3 per cent; P=0.004) in this trial that included 881 procedures. However, after two years there was no significant difference between the procedures in mortality: 7 vs. 9.8 per cent, respectively (P=0.13).
