Conclusion

Two new radiotherapy schedules were compared with standard whole breast radiotherapy (RT) in this study that included 1347 women followed for a median of 72 months. Local relapse rates were similar: whole breast RT 1.1 per cent, reduced-dose RT 0.2 per cent and partial-breast RT 0.5 per cent.
