Conclusion

In this study that included 688 patients, the addition of regional arterial chemotherapy to standard adjuvant treatment improved five year disease-free survival (hazard ratio 0.61, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.46 to 0.81, P<0.001) and overall survival (0.61, 0.43 to 0.86, P=0.005).
