Conclusion

This study included 130 procedures: the pylorus preservation method preserved most of the stomach. Outcomes were similar for nutrition and quality of life for up to six months, but pylorus preservation significantly increased the rate of delayed gastric emptying: 17.2 vs. 4.5 per cent.
