Conclusion
The study included 68,000 men aged 65-74 years. After a mean follow-up of four years, there were 65 aneurysm-related deaths in screened men and 113 in controls, a risk reduction of 42 per cent, 95 per cent confidence interval 22 to 58 per cent, p=0.0002.
