Conclusion

Eight-seven patients were enrolled and randomized to standard (30mg b.d.), or dose-adjusted enoxaparin. The latter group had a higher dose of enoxaparin (median 50mg b.d.), but this did not affect the rate of subsequent DVT: 14 per cent versus 16 per cent in the standard enoxaparin dose group.
