Conclusion

One hundred patients were included initially and 73 reached long term follow-up. Both groups had improved pain and quality of life scores from preoperatively, but those who had adhesiolysis rather than laparoscopy alone were more likely to have subsequent medical consultations, additional operations and were less often pain-free(P=0.033).
