Conclusion

Some 131 patients were included and followed for a mean of one year. Patency rates were similar (primary patency was 63% for both grafts). Removal was more likely for infection with PTFE grafts (29 per cent versus 14 per cent) but more vein grafts required revision for aneurysm formation (eight versus two)
