Conclusion

This study included 385 patients followed for a median 15.8 years after kidney transplantation. The addition of steroids to tacrolimus and mycophenylate mofetil did not reduce allograft failure: adjusted hazard ratio 0.83, 95 per cent confidence interval 0.62 to 1.10, P=0.19.
