Conclusion

Forty-six patients were included in this comparison of machine perfusion versus static cold storage. Machine perfusion reduced liver enzyme changes, 90-day complication rates, and ICU and hospital stay. There was a trend towards less early graft dysfunction: 17 versus 35 per cent, P=0.314.
