Conclusion

Some 386 patients who had a least two non melanoma skin cancers previously were included. After twelve months, people who took nicotinamide developed fewer new basal cell carcinomas (20 per cent fewer, 95 per cent confidence interval -6 to 39, P=0.12) and squamous cell carcinomas (30 per cent fewer, 0 to 51, P=0.05).
