A randomized placebo-controlled trial of oxybutynin for the initial treatment of palmar and axillary hyperhidrosis. J Vasc Surg 2012; 55: 1696-1700.

Conclusion

Fifty patients were included and randomly allocated rising doses of oxybutynin. Hyperhidrosis improved in over 70 per cent of treated patients, most of whom reported improved quality of life. Almost half reported symptoms such as dry mouth.
